DPGM - Brian Gargett


Brian was born in the North Riding of Yorkshire and is a farmer’s son.  He has a degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Nottingham and is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

He first moved to Gloucestershire in 1982 and lived in Cirencester for six years before relocating to Northampton.  Whilst he lived there,  he was initiated into Freemasonry in 1994.  He returned to Gloucestershire some three years later and he has lived there ever since. 

Brian is a member of a number of Lodges but has a particular affinity for the Mark Degree and has been an active officer in the Province of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire since 2011. 

He was appointed as Deputy Provincial Grand Master in June 2017.
